Hi, I’m Manu.

IT architect with 15 years building and operating systems at scale. Started in the trenches with C, Java, and Python before moving into infrastructure—managing farm of 600+ servers, serving high-traffic business applications. Early career included telecommunications work on 4G node development, giving me a solid foundation in distributed systems and reliability engineering.

I automate everything worth automating. Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and infrastructure-as-code across AWS and Azure aren't just tools—they're how I keep complex systems predictable and teams sane. I believe in observability as a first principle: Grafana and Icinga dashboards tell the story that logs alone can't. Apache httpd and nginx have been reliable companions through countless deployments.

Platform engineering meets site reliability engineering. I build systems that scale gracefully and fail predictably—performance testing and threat modeling aren't afterthoughts, they're foundational. From Cloudflare edge optimization to enterprise CMS architectures, I focus on resilient patterns that serve real business needs. Currently exploring AI solutions and their operational implications at production scale.

I understand the full lifecycle—including knowing when to let go. Successfully led the decommissioning of that same 600-server infrastructure in favor of a modern SaaS solution, managing the complex migration without business disruption. Sometimes the best architecture decision is recognizing when to evolve beyond what you built.

Unix is home. OpenWrt and microcontrollers are weekend projects. I lead teams through agile delivery and project planning, but I'm happiest when I'm still hands-on with the technology. I'd rather adapt proven patterns than reinvent basics, and I believe the best architecture is one that your team can actually maintain.
